Grizzly Bear “Two Weeks” (Fred Falke remix) (Stream)

Approxiamately 14 million years after Grizzly Bear’s Veckatimest LP leaked, the band has finally released the first single from the forthcoming album.

That new single is the fabulous “Two Weeks,” and it comes with a crazy reworked version of the song, via Mr. Fred Falke.  I prefer the original version, but the Fred Falke remix is totally worth owning.

I’m not going to post the MP3, as the single was just released, but here’s a stream (and I bet you can find other blogs that have posted the MP3 today).

In other Grizzly Bear & Fred Falke news…

A new Grizzly Bear website was just launched, if you care about those kind of things.

And Fred Falke has been on fire lately with remixes.

His remix of Little Boot’s “New In Town,” – which I posted last month – is one of my favorite 7.5 minute long pop-songs, ever.

And his recent remix of Annie’s “Anthonio” is also worthwhile.

PS: Remember that time when Falke remixed DFA 1979 — back when indie-rock was still cool?!
